I bought a new old lens for my Nikon D700 and I thought I’d try it while pursuing a concept by London based photographer Sean Tucker – to protect the highlights.
The lens in question is a late 80’s early 90’s Zoom-Nikkor 35-135mm f/3.5-4.6. Here are some shots from my hour walk through the old parts of central Strängnäs.
I liked the result and the lens, and even though both CA and vignetting being evident, it really worked out well and added character to the shots.
As for Sean’s idea, see his video further down in this post, I really like the approach as it is a rule of thumb in (digital) photography as well as in life, as you can get.
Try it!
